The question everyone asks me is “What made you get into voiceovers?” So here is the answer.

In my early twenties I used to perform in community theatre musical theatre shows. My passion is dance and I love to be on stage! A few years later, I wanted to do some straight drama and find a drama class. In the meantime, I found an improv group which I started attending, where I met some professional actors, one of whom says he’s a voiceover artist, too. That got me thinking, “Voiceovers….that sounds like something I’m interested in and that I could be good at”. I then also attended drama classes and four years later I finally started getting into voiceovers.

As a kid, I grew up listening to audiobooks, as my mum always use to take audiobooks out the library. This also piqued my interest in voiceovers. I wished that I could be one of those dramatic narrators. Audiobooks are indeed, my favourite genre of voiceover to date. I love to get into character and narrate all those thoughts going on in the character’s mind.

Another catalyst to getting into voiceovers is my love for language and linguistics. I studied English Literature and Linguistics at university and I love articulation, the sound of language, accents and dialects.

I have trained at Chrystal Arts Agency and Theatre School (London), Creative Media Design (New York) and Gravy for the Brain (London/Online). I am continuously doing ongoing training as there is always more to learn and skills to hone.
